I just wanted to comment on the sadness I felt while listening to John McCain's heartfelt concession speech. One can really tell that he deeply cares for this great nation of ours. He is a true patriot, the last of the tried and true. He has served his country in every sense of the way possible. He firmly believes in this country and would have been the ultimate protector of it. It is such a great loss for our children and grandchildren. His speech brought tears to my eyes. The way he touched his heart at the end and refers to all as his friends are just examples of how much love he has for the United States and its people. I am also already sick and tired of hearing," yes, we can." I do not know about the rest of you, but I am already fearful of this new leadership and that is something I have never experienced. Living in fear of how these other rising "super powers" are going to strike us and test us at our weakest hour. And, my friends, (as McCain refers to us), that weakest and darkest hour has not arrived yet, but, I predict that darkest hour will be upon us somewhere between 1/20/09 and 1/20/13. I hope I am wrong. It is not a good feeling to have to live in fear. Not too many of us in this day and age, thank the Lord, have ever had to experience that. I am afraid that the "yes we can" will turn into a "yes we will" live in fear. Socialism is something I don't want to be a part of. Notice as early as the acceptance speech, Obama is already covering his tracks by saying change may not come in 1 year or even 1 term. Just like a salesman...make the sale and after the commitment start telling an entirely different story. 130 million votes....where where the rest of you guys at??
